AuthenticWork Mentoring is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information respectfully and transparently in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). AuthenticWork Mentoring provides mentoring and employment-related support and is not an employment service provider and is not a replacement for therapy or mental health care. If you are required by Centrelink, Workforce Australia, or another service to participate in employment services, you must continue to engage with your employment provider while working with AuthenticWork Mentoring.

Only relevant information is collected, including your name, contact details, referral information, emergency contact details, and session notes. Information may be collected through our website (hosted by Wix), email (via Outlook), referral forms, surveys, and during sessions. Information is used to provide services, manage bookings, support session goals, demonstrate progress, and meet employment provider reporting requirements where applicable. All information is stored securely on password-protected devices, including a secure work mobile phone for storing client contact details, and is kept for a minimum of six (6) months after services end unless a longer period is required by law.

Information is only shared when appropriate and with consent through a signed Release of Information Form and verbal consent where suitable and may be shared with employment providers, current or potential employers, or other nominated supports such as family or carers. Where services are provided to clients under 18 years of age, information may also be shared with parents or carers, school staff, or referring services when appropriate and with consent. In an emergency where a client cannot be contacted, the nominated emergency contact may be used and clients are responsible for keeping these details up to date.

AuthenticWork Mentoring does not track website users or use analytics tools, though Wix may collect basic website data. Links on the Resources page are external and AuthenticWork Mentoring is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

From time to time, AuthenticWork Mentoring may run surveys to better understand what LGBTQIA+ people need from employment support and what employers need help with. These surveys do not collect personal identifying information and any data collected is de-identified and deleted once it has been reviewed and used for service improvement. 

Clients have the right to access the information held about them, request corrections or deletion, withdraw consent, and add comments to their record. This is your service and nothing should be a secret. You are welcome to contact AuthenticWork Mentoring with any questions about privacy.
